The Latinos at the American Music Awards....Review

Was up Mundo!!!!! Sorry for the late blog so much to catch up on lets first start with ......

Pitbull
The American Music Awards aired this past Sunday. It was great to see an artist from Miami, Pitbull host the awards. Who would ever of imagined a Latin Rapper to host the AMAS. I thought that was dope. Believe it or not there were some ignorance on twitter going on "Whos that Mexican"? ect.
He educated mainstream on booty dancing with some exotic beatiful ladies showing the doo-ddo brown, tootsie roll, and the hydraulics. I thought it was dope that he also gave Sofia Vergara for opening the doors for Latinos like him to host the awards. He introduced a new Square dance theme song with Ke$ha which was pretty catchy for the "country" loving fans that were there. What I was not feeling was that I felt the announcer was doing more of the hosting than Pitbull.

Ariana Grande
Won "Best New Artist of the Year" amazed the audience with her powerful voice. She sang a song called "Tattooed Heart".  Everybody stoood up for a standing ovation its as if they were seeing the next Whitney Houston in action.

Marc Anthony
Won "Favorite Latin Artist" I thought this was dope because he was the only Salsero and he beat 2 popular Bachateros Prince Royce and Romeo Santos. Pitbull presented him the award. Classic Moment.

J-Lo
Another dope moment was J-Lo's tribute to Celia Cruz. Although many people feel they could of picked some one else. I think she did a great job and Im not even a big J-Lo fan. one of my friends from Highschool in Cali, Colombia told me that his cousin was there dancing there with her. I thought that was pretty cool. 


On a side note Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won Best Rap/Hip Hop album and artist of the year. Which Im gonna have to debate on cause I think Kendrick should have won. Im gonna have to listen to The Heist again and see what I missed.
Kendrick had a poor performance of his song, I was dissapointed
