My Review of Netflix Narcos

At first when I saw the trailer of NARCOS a Netflix original series about Pablo Escobar and the Drug War in Colombia. I was like this is going to be wack.

A lot of actors have tried to play Pablo Escobar from  the novela of 'El Patron del Mal" and Colombians will argue that nobody has been able to play Pablo Escobar better than Andres Parra.

In NARCOS I don't want know what "stevia" was casting sniffing when they casted Puerto Rican Luis Guzman as Gacha ( as Gab Gacha Brazilian actor Wagner Maura as P.E. As if Colombians don't already have enough a foul taste with Brazil over last years World Cup #eragoldeyepes and Copa America with Brazilian forward Neymar getting ejected from the game.

Having NARCOS filmed in Colombia and other locations with recognizable experienced Colombian actors like Manolo Cardona, Juan Carlos Arango, and others makes it more authentic. The music, locations, accents and having the series made predominately in Spanish makes it more realistic. What makes the series stand out and have that "Goodfellas" style is the narrator when he explains historic facts.

The small details that I do like about this was the cases of Blue Label, clothes, the real Colombian music, and the references to Magical Realism from Gabriel Garcia Marquez that brings this cinematic series to light.
